Job Shadowing zum Thema Digitalisierung, Mailand

The training and exchange at the German school Mailand were exceptionally well organized and insightful. The host school demonstrated great dedication and hospitality, creating an environment that allowed us to learn effectively and engage deeply with the topics.

Key learning outcomes include gaining practical insights into thе use of iPads in diverse classroom settings, discovering efficient tools and apps for digital teaching, and understanding the legal and pedagogical considerations surrounding the use of digital technologies. These outcomes align with the goals set prior to the mobility and will significantly contribute to advancing digital lesson development at our school.

Upon returning to the sending organisation, the knowledge gained will be shared through internal workshops and collaborative meetings with colleagues to ensure widespread benefit. Regular evaluations will be conducted to monitor the implementation and impact of these new strategies.

Discover the power of game based learning and Gamification in education

Learning through games encourages the acquisition and development of various hard and soft skills, as it stimulates problem-solving, encourages experiential learning and increases motivation.
The player learns through repetition, failure, ongoing and non-threatening feedback and accomplishment of goals in a risk-free environment, which is aligned with clear objectives.
“Play is a crucial component of cognitive development from birth through adulthood” (Piaget 1962; Vygotsky 1962)

Two of the main challenges we face as teachers: maintaining students’ engagement and reigniting their enthusiasm for learning in the classroom.
Games can play a crucial role in this because they may promote a student-centred pedagogy that facilitates a more personalized learning approach.
Crucially, we educators need to grow into a new role when using games in the classroom: the role of facilitator of learning. Teachers as facilitators provide their students with resources, opportunities and guidance, as students take on agency for other aspects of their learning.
